Terry Cooper Tags Meanwood Fatbloke - 326th post - 10 Sep 2003 12:33 Anyone had a look at the above titled website? I didn't know it existed until today. If you're nostalgic for LUFC history have a look. Its cracking, I've just spent a happy half-hour sighing and aahing. I gather Sven has been getting the complete back four to practice nutting the ball on the deck today so that we dont have to rely purely on old 'nose-to-the-ground' Sol.

Being only 27 it's a shame I wasn't around during those days but form the countless videos I've watched and the stories me Dad used to tell me I've managed to get a sense of what is was like back then. Speaking of nutting balls on the deck. I remember a game in the late 80's at ER where the ball was about to dribble over the dead ball line. Ian Baird thought better of the idea and got down on his front to nudge the ball back over with his head. A foolish manouvre that almost got his head kicked off by a big loafing defender. Quality moment it was I laughed for the next 20 mins.
